چکیده
This research work proposes a mathematical optimization model for constructing two ponds (1. Facultative pond and 2. Maturation pond) provided in series. The uses concrete volume as its objective minimization function. There were decision variables; the first was detention time (DT) second list number of baffle walls (NBW) both ponds. constraint parameters include fecal coliforms biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5). applied with help an Add-Ins MS Office: Excel solver. generalized reduced gradient algorithm utilized solver (GRG). Before applying model, designed conventional method then using optimized values variables. A comparison findings reveals that 13.79 percent reduction DT, 11.55 area, 7.19 occurred. mentioned above are significant since these systems' fundamental drawback is area's requirement. In addition, sensitivity analyses function removal pollutants also provided. described sensitive to variations parameters. Both demonstrated effluent characteristics comply class-B irrigation standards Turkey. It advised do more studies WSPs other algorithms tools available literature distinct wastewater treatment plants.

Performance evaluation of wastewater stabilization ponds in Yazd-Iran
Background: Yazd waste stabilization pond facilities consist of three stabilization pond systems, module 1, module 2 and module 3 that AWSP module 1 has started its operation. The existing facilities have had several problems in their operation. The objectives of this research were to evaluate the performance of stabilization ponds in wastewater treatment of the city of Yazd, due to several pro...

Abstract: This paper presents the robust stability analysis and design methodology of the fuzzy feedback linearization control systems. Uncertainty and disturbances with known bounds are assumed to be included in the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy models representing the nonlinear plants. L2 robust stability of the closed system is analyzed by casting the systems into the diagonal norm bounded linear...

The Fate of Heavy Metals in Wastewater Stabilization Ponds
-The distribution of toxic heavy metals was studied throughout the process of treatment of domestic wastewater by stabilization ponds. The concentrations and distribution of free and bound zinc, cadmium, lead and copper through the various stages of a treatment plant were analyzed by Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (ASV). Only a slight decrease in the total metals concentration was observed during...
متن کاملTrajectory Optimization for a Multistage Launch Vehicle Using Nonlinear Programming
This work is an example of application of nonlinear programming to a problem of three-dimensional trajectory optimization for multistage launch vehicles for geostationary orbit missions. The main objective is to minimize fuel consumption or equivalently to maximize the payload. The launch vehicle considered here, Europa-II, consists of 5 thrust phases and 2 coast phases. Major parameters of the...
